In 1991, BMW commissioned Mahlangu to design one of their iconic art cars. The result? A masterpiece! The bold, geometric designs and bright colors exploded onto the international stage, becoming one of the most recognized works in her repertoire, and is one of the few art cars to be made by a woman, as well as from outside of Western countries. This iconic BMW showcases a fascinating intersection of modern design and traditional Ndebele art.
